AROUND Elm Lodge
Craig & Michelle
bought Elm lodge in 2020 when it only offered a CAMC "CL" site and quickly decided that the tranquil beauty of this area of East Yorkshire would benefit from a peaceful nature filled touring park, throughout the 2 years of covid they set about transforming the site into what it is today carrying out most of the works themselves.
It is the perfect base to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire, the Holderness area is very flat and lends itself perfectly to walking and cycling we have the old Hull to Hornsea rail trail within a 5 minute walk where you can walk or cycle either back towards Hull where you could visit the Deep which is home to over 5000 marine animals, there`s also a large amount of great museums within the city, or the shorter option through to Hornsea with its sandy beaches, and Yorkshires largest natural lake "Hornsea Mere" where you can hire a rowing boat, go fishing or just relax in their cafe. Hornsea is also home to the winner of Britains best chippy!
We have the quaint market town of Beverley just a 10 mile drive away with its Racecourse, array of restaurants and pubs.
Also the area has some beautiful stately homes and gardens to visit such as Burton Constable Hall, Wassand Hall & Burton Agnes Hall.
